Argireline, a synthetic hexapeptide derived from SNAP-25, shows significant anti-wrinkle effects in both humans and animal models. Clinical studies in Chinese subjects demonstrated notable reductions in periorbital wrinkle depth, with an overall anti-wrinkle efficiency of 48.9%. In aged mice, Argireline improved skin histology by increasing type I collagen and decreasing type III collagen, indicating tissue rejuvenation. The peptide is well tolerated and safe, supporting its potential as a cosmetic ingredient for reducing facial wrinkles and improving skin structural integrity.
